Italy presented to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) the candidature of Rome to host the EXPO 2030.
The theme of the candidature is “People and territories: urban regeneration, inclusion and innovation”.
For its history, heritage, creativity, its links with culture and science, Rome represents the ideal place to launch a new urban model based on both innovation and sustainability, digital services and green spaces.

On 7 September 2022, the Promoting Committee of EXPO Roma 2030, led by the Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri, delivered the candidacy dossier to the General Secretariat of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

LOGO
On March 3, 2022 the Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri presented in Dubai the official logo of the candidature of Rome to host EXPO 2030.
For the first time in the history of EXPO, the logo is also a “Non-Fungible Token”, a unique piece of digital art based on blockchain technology.
