Balcani: ambasciatore a Belgrado Manzo, trilaterale incoraggia percorso Ue di Serbia e Albania<\/STRONG>
Belgrado, 22 gen 11:36 – (Agenzia Nova)<\/STRONG> – L\u2019incontro fra i ministri degli Esteri di Italia, Serbia e Albania a Roma dimostra il sostegno dell\u2019Italia al percorso europeo di Belgrado e Tirana. Lo ha dichiarato l\u2019ambasciatore d\u2019Italia a Belgrado, Giuseppe Manzo<\/STRONG>, in un\u2019intervista rilasciata al quotidiano serbo \u201cDanas<\/STRONG>\u201d. L\u2019ambasciatore ha cos\u00ec commentato l\u2019incontro che si terr\u00e0 domani a Roma su iniziativa dell\u2019Italia. Il titolare della Farnesina, Paolo Gentiloni, avr\u00e0 prima dei colloqui bilaterali con l\u2019omologo serbo Ivica Dacic e quello albanese Ditmir Bushati, per poi concludere con una colazione di lavoro in formato trilaterale. La tradizionale amicizia, i forti legami culturali, l\u2019interesse comune per temi quali la crescita e gli investimenti, la visione che condividiamo sulla Macroregione adriatico-ionica sono ragioni sufficienti per fare s\u00ec che i nostri tre paesi siedano assieme e discutano di possibili progetti.<\/P>
\nL\u2019obiettivo principale di Roma, ha aggiunto Manzo, \u00e8 per\u00f2 quello di un avanzamento della prospettiva europea dei Balcani occidentali, attraverso il dialogo e la cooperazione di due attori chiave nella regione. \u201cPortando a Roma i ministri serbo e albanese – ha detto Manzo \u2013 vogliamo incoraggiare il loro impegno verso il cammino europeo, inviando al contempo a Bruxelles e ai partner europei il messaggio che occorre restare focalizzati sull\u2019agenda dell\u2019allargamento come elemento prioritario per l\u2019Ue. La cooperazione regionale \u2013 ha proseguito \u2013 \u00e8 un fattore chiave in questo processo, Belgrado e Tirana sono attori di importanza sostanziale e noi crediamo che possano dare il proprio contributo ad un progetto europeo nuovo e pi\u00f9 efficace\u201d.<\/EM><\/P>
\nRiguardo ai rapporti fra Italia e Serbia, Manzo ha ricordato il successo dell\u2019incontro tenuto lo scorso dicembre fra il premier italiano Matteo Renzi e l\u2019omologo serbo Aleksandar Vucic. L\u2019iniziativa di Gentiloni di domani, ha osservato, aggiunger\u00e0 un altro successo ad un rapporto che vede investimenti italiani in Serbia per due miliardi di euro e la presenza di circa 600 aziende italiane sul territorio serbo. Tale collaborazione, ha ricordato Manzo, ha fatto dell\u2019Italia nel 2014 il primo partner commerciale ed il primo investitore nel paese balcanico. Il 2015, ha infine osservato l\u2019ambasciatore, \u00e8 cominciato nel migliore dei modi con la sottoscrizione dell\u2019accordo fra il governo serbo e la Rigoni di Asiago. Nel settore agroalimentare Manzo ha inoltre ricordato l\u2019investimento avviato da Ferrero.<\/P>

L\u2019agroindustria, ha aggiunto, \u00e8 un settore di importanza strategica e dalle grandi potenzialit\u00e0, e gli italiani sono stati fra i primi a capirlo. \u201cPer questo \u2013 ha concluso l\u2019ambasciatore \u2013 mi fa piacere vedere che lo sviluppo di tale settore \u00e8 una priorit\u00e0 per il vostro governo, e che quest\u2019ultimo sostiene la partecipazione della Serbia all\u2019evento Expo 2015 di Milano. Tale manifestazione porter\u00e0 nella citt\u00e0 italiana milioni di visitatori da tutto il mondo, e offrir\u00e0 una vetrina unica per il comparto agroalimentare serbo<\/EM>\u201d.

Italia appoggia integrazione Ue. Domani trilaterale a Roma<\/STRONG><\/P>
\n(ANSA<\/STRONG>) \u2013 Belgrado, 22 GEN – L’ appoggio pieno e convinto dell’ Italia all’ integrazione europea della Serbia e dell’ intera regione dei Balcani occidentali e’ stato sottolineato dall’ ambasciatore italiano a Belgrado Giuseppe Manzo<\/STRONG>, che si e’ riferito a questo riguardo all’ importanza dell’ incontro trilaterale Italia-Serbia-Albania in programma domani a Roma.
In una intervista al quotidiano belgradese Danas, Manzo afferma che “l’ obiettivo principale dell’ Italia e’ l’ avanzamento della prospettiva europea dei Balcani occidentali attraverso il dialogo stretto e la collaborazione fra i due protagonisti principali nella regione, Belgrado e Tirana”.<\/EM>
Su iniziativa dell’ Italia, il ministro degli esteri Paolo Gentiloni ha convocato per una trilaterale domani a Roma i colleghi di Serbia e Albania, Ivica Dacic e Ditmir Bushati. “Portando a Roma i ministri degli esteri serbo e albanese – ha osservato l’ ambasciatore – intendiamo incoraggiare il loro impegno nel cammino europeo dei loro Paesi, inviando cosi’ a Bruxelles e ai partner europei il messaggio che e’ necessario rimanere concentrati sull’ agenda dell’ allargamento quale priorit\u00e0 della Ue”.<\/EM>
Per Manzo, “la collaborazione regionale e’ un fattore chiave in questo processo, Belgrado e Tirana sono attori essenziali e noi crediamo che possono dare il loro contributo a un nuovo e efficace progetto europeo<\/EM>“.
Nell’ intervista, l’ ambasciatore Manzo si e’ quindi riferito al significato e all’ importanza della presidenza Osce ricoperta quest’ anno dalla Serbia – un’ occasione unica per Belgrado di avere un ruolo piu’ attivo e maggiore responsabilit\u00e0 sulla scena internazionale, in particolare negli sforzi dio soluzione della crisi ucraina \u2013 e si e’ detto estremamente soddisfatto dello stato dei rapporti bilaterali, con l’ Italia che resta il principale partner economico e commerciale della Serbia in fatto di interscambio e investimenti. E la partecipazione della Serbia a Expo Milano 2015 sara’ anche l’ opportunit\u00e0 per Belgrado di presentarsi e proporsi sulla scena planetaria.
Ricordando la recente visita a Roma del premier Aleksandar Vucic e il riferimento fatto all’ Europarlamento a Strasburgo dal presidente del consiglio Matteo Renzi all’ importanza dell’ integrazione europea di Serbia e Balcani occidentali, Manzo ha concluso sottolineando come “la Serbia meriti riconoscimenti per i risultati concreti ottenuti lo scorso anno nel cammino verso l’ integrazione europea”. “Proprio questa e’ la ragione per cui abbiamo lavorato per fare in modo che per Belgrado si aprano i primi capitoli negoziali con l’ Unione europea<\/EM>“.

Intervista integrale in lingua inglese<\/U><\/EM><\/STRONG>:<\/P>
\nCan you tell us something about the upcoming visit of the Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister to Italy? What are the main goals of the meeting?
<\/STRONG>– Upon initiative of Italy, tomorrow morning the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Paolo Gentiloni will host a trilateral meeting in Rome with Foreign Minister Dacic and their Albanian colleague Bushati. The program also includes two bilateral meetings that Minister Gentiloni will hold with Dacic and Bushati before the trilateral talks. Our historic friendship, strong cultural bonds, the common interests in issues like growth, investments, and a shared view on the future of the Adriatic-Ionian Macro Region would be enough reason for our three countries to seat together and discuss about possible projects. But in Rome the main goal is to advance the European perspective of the Western Balkans through a closer dialogue and cooperation between two key players of the Region.
As you know we are strong supporter of Serbia’s, and Western Balkans’ EU integration process. By gathering in Rome the Serbian and the Albanian Ministers, we want to encourage their engagement in the respective European paths<\/EM><\/STRONG>, while signaling Brussels and our European partners the need to stay focused on the enlargement agenda as a priority for the European Union. Regional cooperation is key in this process, Belgrade and Tirana are essential actors<\/STRONG><\/EM> and we believe they can also bring their own contribution to a new and more effective European project.<\/P>
\nWhat does Italy expects to be achieved during the Serbia’s chairmanship of the OSCE?<\/STRONG>
– The Chairmanship of the OSCE is both a unique opportunity and a challenge for Serbia that is showing the will to play a more active role and exercise more responsibilities within the international community. We support this commitment not only in Europe, but also on issues like peacekeeping activities and fight against terrorism. So we will encourage Belgrade to have a constructive role on the Ukrainian crisis, but also on the dialogue with the Mediterranean area and, once again, on the regional cooperation in the Western Balkans. Of course, nobody expects Serbia to solve all these complex issues during his Chairmanship-in-office. At the same time, as Minister Dacic himself said last week in Wien, there is interest and expectations in the international community towards Belgrade. And Italy is ready to support Serbia in its endeavor. <\/P>
\nWhat is your assessment of the recent claims by the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 that the EU has been financing media organizations to slander the government?<\/STRONG>
– I know that strengthening the rule of law in Serbia, including freedom of media, is a common interest and a strong priority of both Belgrade and Brussels. And\u00a0 I am confident that the implementation of recent reforms in the media sector carried out by your Government will contribute not only to advance Serbia’s EU path but also to strengthen Serbian society.
In your opinion, what are the main tasks of the Serbian Government this year when it comes to the EU path of the country?
<\/STRONG>– Quoting your Prime Minister \u201cwork, work and work\u201d. Since the opening of the EU accession negotiations last year, the Serbian Government has shown great commitment and determination in addressing crucial issues along the European path such as the reforms in the rule of law and the normalization process with Pristina. The preliminary work done in 2014 was necessary to create the most favorable conditions this year to promote further advancements in the EU path of Serbia by opening the first negotiating chapters. You are very close to achieve this important goal in the next months: it is a further reason to continue the job and keep focused and engaged.<\/P>
\nWhat is your assessment of the current Serbian-Italian relations in the key domains, such as politics and economy?<\/STRONG>
– My assessment of the Serbian-Italian relations is extensively positive. The meeting held last December in Rome between President Renzi and Prime Minister Vucic was the so called \u201cicing on the cake\u201d and tomorrow, thanks to the initiative by Minister Gentiloni, some more icing will be added on top of it. Our \u201ccake\u201d is made of more than 2 billion euros of Italian investments<\/EM><\/STRONG> and around 600 small and medium companies operating in Serbia that confirmed Italy as the largest trading partner and foreign investor in this Country also in 2014. 2015 has started under the best possible auspices, with the signing of the agreement between Serbian Government and Italian agrobusiness leading company Rigoni di Asiago that will soon start its fruit plantations in Serbia. Agroindustry is a strategic sector for Serbia’s economy. There are great opportunities for foreign investors. And Italians were among the first ones to see them, starting with Ferrero. This is why I am glad that your Government is giving priority and support to Serbia’s participation to ExpoMilano2015. The exposition will attract in Milan millions of visitors from all over the world and will offer a unique shop window for Serbia’s agroindustry.
Italy is considered to be one of the greatest supporters of the EU integration of Serbia. What is the current position of Rome regarding the opening of the first chapters in the EU accession talks of Serbia?<\/EM><\/STRONG>
– The Italian position on the EU path of Serbia is unchanged and has been recently reaffirmed by President Renzi in his speech before the European Parliament at the end of the Italian Presidency of the EU. In that occasion, President Renzi recalled that the EU must look at the enlargement policy in a different way because the European project of the founding fathers cannot be really accomplished without including the Western Balkans Countries and he also mentioned Serbia. We are convinced that Serbia deserves to be recognized the concrete results you have achieved in this last year on your European path. It is a reward but it is also an incentive for your Government and the people of Serbia to continue working with the same commitment and determination. This is exactly the reason why we have been working so that Belgrade can open as soon as possible the first chapters of his accession negotiations to the EU.\u00a0\u00a0
