L’Ambasciatore d’Italia a Belgrado, Carlo Lo Cascio, ha invitato tutti a non farsi prendere dal panico a causa dei casi di coronavirus in Italia.<\/p>\n
“Non vi \u00e8 alcun motivo di particolare allarme. La situazione \u00e8 sotto controllo. Il Governo italiano \u00e8 intervenuto tempestivamente per contenere la diffusione del contagio adottando ogni possibile misura cautelativa messa in atto con grande efficacia nell\u2019area dei due focolai (11 comuni nel nord Italia, pi\u00f9 precisamente in una zona molto ristretta intorno a Lodi, in Lombardia, e in Veneto).<\/p>\n
La maggior parte delle persone con coronavirus sono concentrate in quest\u2019area. Le zone sottoposte a misure restrittive rappresentano pertanto solo lo 0.05% del territorio italiano e riguardano soltanto lo 0,089% della popolazione.<\/p>\n
In queste zone le persone sono costantemente monitorate, la grande maggioranza di coloro che sono stati rilevati positivi \u00e8 in buona salute, alcuni di loro hanno gi\u00e0 concluso il periodo di quarantena e sono considerati sicuri”, ha osservato l\u2019Ambasciatore.<\/p>\n
\u201cComprendiamo la preoccupazione generata dalle notizie che giungono dall\u2019Italia, ma la gran parte del nostro Paese non \u00e8 affetta dal virus, n\u00e9 tantomeno \u00e8 colpita da misure restrittive. Ricordo che \u00e8 possibile viaggiare normalmente in ben 7904 comuni d\u2019Italia con la sola eccezione di 11. E\u2019 quindi improprio sconsigliare di viaggiare in intere regioni italiane.<\/p>\n
Medici, infermieri, ricercatori stanno dando il massimo, le forze di polizia garantiscono sicurezza. Non c\u2019\u00e8 quindi nessuna ragione per inutili allarmismi\u201d ha osservato l\u2019Ambasciatore.<\/p>\n
Secondo l\u2019Ambasciatore Lo Cascio, la collaborazione tra le Autorit\u00e0 italiane e serbe \u00e8 ottima, come dimostra anche l\u2019assistenza che abbiamo offerto per l\u2019evacuazione del cittadino serbo dalla nave \u201cDiamond Princess\u201d in Giappone.<\/p>\n
L\u2019Ambasciatore Lo Cascio ha aggiunto che “comprendiamo ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 stato fatto dal Ministero degli Esteri serbo che ha sconsigliato viaggi solo nelle zone sottoposte a misure restrittive dal nostro Governo\u201d. \u201cMi risulta che i voli da e per l\u2019Italia continuino a svolgersi regolarmente e che i passeggeri sbarchino e partano senza problemi. Vi sono naturalmente dei controlli ma essi sono tutt\u2019altro che invasivi\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u00c8 vero\u201d, ha concluso l\u2019Ambasciatore, \u201c\u00e8 una situazione del tutto nuova ma siamo un Paese forte, affidabile, con un eccellente sistema sanitario e una protezione civile nota in tutto il mondo. Abbiamo le risorse per vincere questa sfida e anche per questo abbiamo adottato un approccio ispirato a massima trasparenza e responsabilit\u00e0 coi nostri partner e coi Paesi vicini da cui ci attendiamo solidariet\u00e0 e collaborazione\u201d.<\/p>\n

Statement of the Italian Ambassador Carlo Lo Cascio to the Serbian media on the coronavirus emergency in Italy<\/strong><\/p>\n The Ambassador of Italy to Belgrade, Carlo Lo Cascio, has invited everyone not to panic because of coronavirus cases in Italy.<\/p>\n “There is no reason for alarm. The situation is under control. The Italian Government intervened promptly to contain the spread of the infection adopting every possible precautionary measure, enacted very effectively in the area of the two outbreaks (11 municipalities in the northern Italy, more precisely in a very restricted area around Lodi, in Lombardia Region, and in Veneto Region).<\/p>\n Most people with coronavirus are concentrated in this area. Restrictive measures concern therefore only 0.05% of the Italian territory and only 0.089% of the population.<\/p>\n In these areas people are constantly monitored, the vast majority of those who have been found positive are in good health, some of them have already concluded the quarantine period and are considered safe”, said the Ambassador.<\/p>\n “We understand the concern generated by the news that come from Italy, but most of our country is not affected by the virus, nor is affected by restrictive measures. I remind that is possible to travel normally in 7904 municipalities in Italy with the sole exception of the aforementioned 11. Therefore it is inappropriate suggesting not to travel in some Italian regions.<\/p>\n Doctors, nurses, researchers are doing their utmost, the police forces guarantee safety. Therefore there is no reason for unnecessary alarmism”, recalled the Ambassador.<\/p>\n According to Ambassador Lo Cascio, the collaboration between Italian and Serbian authorities is excellent, as it is also shown by the assistance Italy offered for the evacuation of the Serbian citizen from the “Diamond Princess” cruise in Japan.<\/p>\n Ambassador Lo Cascio added that “we understand what has been done by the Serbian Foreign Ministry which has suggested to avoid travelling only to those areas that are subjected to restrictive measures by our Government.” “I recall that flights to and from Italy continue to take place regularly and that passengers land and leave without any problem. There are of course checks but they are far from being invasive.”<\/p>\n “It is true,” concluded the Ambassador, “that this is a completely new situation but we are a strong, reliable country with an excellent health system and a civil protection department known all over the world.
